Seth Rogovoy to Read at Park Theater in Hudson

(HUDSON, N.Y.) – Seth Rogovoy will be one of three authors reading from their works in the Literary Night: A Galère of Poetic Autopsies series at Park Theater in Hudson on Thursday, May 7, at 7pm. The other writers on the bill are Ray Brahmi and poet Cynthia Ross. The event is free.

Seth Rogovoy is the author of Within You Without You: Listening to George Harrison (Oxford University Press, 2024), Bob Dylan: Prophet Mystic Poet (Scribner, 2009), and The Essential Klezmer: A Music Lover’s Guide to Jewish Roots and Soul Music (Algonquin Books, 2000). Seth’s Substack newsletter, Everything Is Broken, features original short essays and reviews on culture, politics, and life itself. Seth lives in Hudson with his wife, Linda Friedner, a media lawyer who works in book publishing.

Ray Brahmi is a New York-based actor, writer, and educator who has performed at the Public Theater and La MaMa, worked as an educator at the Museum of the Moving Image and the New York Historical Society, and as a guest lecturer at New York University and the Edith C. Blum Art Institute at Bard College. Ray holds a BFA and an MFA from Bard College and Columbia University, where he received a Fellowship for Merit from the Columbia School of the Arts. He is a member of the Dramatist Guild, Actors’ Equity, and SAG/AFTRA.

Cynthia Ross, New York City-based poet and musician, is the original all girl punk band architect. She’s seen it all, done it all, outlived most, and writes bruised, raw and nakedly revealing poems that will make you cry. Current projects include The Secret Door poetry book (Far West Press, 2025) and her new poetry collection The Love Ministry, out on Far West in spring 2026.

The Literary Night reading series at Park Theater takes place the first Thursday of each month. The event is curated by Jane Ormerod and John Lawson.
