Seth Rogovoy to Present Online Multimedia Talk on May 1
Seth Rogovoy will share excerpts and insights from his book, Within You Without You: Listening to George Harrison, in an online, multimedia presentation on Friday, May 1, 2026, at noon (Eastern U.S. Time).
In his talk, Rogovoy will explore George Harrison’s essential contributions to music and culture — in the Beatles, in his solo work, and in his significant role as a Western proponent of Indian music and beliefs. Through close examination of the voice Harrison found in his guitars and his songwriting in and beyond the Beatles, Seth demystifies the enigma of this most reluctant of rock stars, who was responsible for such popular Beatles hits as “Something” and “Here Comes the Sun.”
The livestreamed event is a production of Dorot.
Seth Rogovoy is the author of Within You Without You: Listening to George Harrison (Oxford University Press, 2024), Bob Dylan: Prophet Mystic Poet (Scribner, 2009), and The Essential Klezmer: A Music Lover’s Guide to Jewish Roots and Soul Music (Algonquin Books, 2000).
